The cities of Champaign and Urbana have designated October 11-17, 2015 Mediation Awareness Week.

THANK YOU to Ameren Illinois. This corporation has graciously donated $2000 to further support the cause of community mediation. McKinley Foundation Social Justice Award Honorable Mention

On March 9, 2013 The McKinley Foundation awarded our Center's work with Central High School's Peer Mediators with an honorable mention.

On March 3, 2012 our Center was awarded Honorable Mentions in all categories for the Social Justice Awards by the McKinley Foundation in Champaign.  Recognitions were presented to the following:

  • Central High School's Peer Mediation Program 
  • Sam Waters, Central High School Peer Mediator

James R. Burgess, Sr. and Susan M. Freiburg Humanitarian Award

On January 14, 2011 our Center was awarded the James R. Burgess, Sr. and Susan M. Freiburg Humanitarian Award during the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Countywide Celebration.
