PLCMC offers a variety of volunteer opportunities for enthusiastic, qualified individuals, including undergraduate and graduate students.
+Peer Mediation & Peer Jury Volunteer
+Social Networking Volunteer
A volunteer is need to attend meetings with Peer Mediators twice each month and provide support and training. This include debriefing, processing and problem solving related to mediations facilitated by students. The volunteer should be available to attend Peer Mediation training early in the school year.
A volunteer is need to work with all aspects of PLCMC online presence. This includes marketing and promoting the Center in new, effective ways. Familiarizing the general public with mediation and the work of the Center is the main goal.
About College Credit
PLCMC continues to offer qualified students the opportunity to earn credit through their school, program or department by volunteering with the Center. Interested students must contact their department for approval before a plan may be developed and integrated to meet school requirements. University of Illinois departments we have work with in the past include: The School of Social Work and the Department of Human and Community Development.
